Well the day started off so promising with the temps to top out at 60 it was going to be a beautiful day for a hike on the Indian Creek Trail. I got to the trail at 7:20 & it was still cold. I left my truck & started hiking down the trail I was hoping to go 15 - 16 miles. The trail was snow covered so there was no ice to worry about. I was around 3 miles & ran over a hill when the downhill was nothing but ice, well that didn't set well for me & I went down on my ass. I have included some pictures to help tell the story. I sat on the ice just thinking that I broke something. Well after I was able to move all my body parts I kept going. I ended up getting my 16 miles in but it took me 4 1/2 hours, the snow was 2 foot deep in some spots. Well other than the fall it was a good day.

This shows my hip where the blunt of the fall was taken.

There is a huge lump with pretty colors.

Another pic of the impact zone.
Well the hip has been a little sore but tomorrow my wife & I are going skiing so I can try it out. I definitely won't be riding like a dare devil tomorrow just nice easy day on the slopes.
Have fun, Stephen
