Well it is that time of the year again to dust off snowboards & hit the mountains. The kids & I decided to go to Copper Mountain for the weekend for the 1st days of snowboarding for the new year. As we arrived saturday at the mountain 4" of new snow had fallen & we enjoyed the fresh powder day riding & jumping the snow piles. Saturday night after snowboarding we went to Eric's Basement Restaurant in Breckenridge & hung out on main street & enjoyed the resort town. Saturday night after eating we decided to get a room & stay at the Alpine Inn which we have stayed before & for $65 a night it is a great place to stay. Another 4 inches of snow fell during the night on Saturday & we enjoyed another powder day. When we where in the mountains snow was falling at home also so we left early on sunday to beat the traffic. It still amazes me that people from Colorado will set in traffic for hours (3-4) to get to the mountains & enjoy the mountains just to drive home (3-4) hours at night. Myself I live here & there are many more days left in the year to set in traffic. Well all in all the weekend was great with 2 powder days & time spent with my kids, it was a very awesome weekend.
